suddenly. It was OK a month ago.

Bentley manual says probably the resistor pack is bad. Anyone with experience here? Have the resistors turned up their toes, could it be a little corrosion on a connector or what? Looks like you have to remove the blower motor to access the resistors, and I don't want to do that without part in hand if they're a common failure (vs loose wire, corroded terminal etc). Any thoughts?

yes, it is almost certain to be the resistor pack.

I did a short write up on how to do this in a roadfly e30 board post a year or so ago, and there are also websites with good procedures on it. If you are inclined to do the soldering, you can put in new resistors from radio shack.

but you may not. I got away with it for a week or so, then it started acting up again. It is not a terribly hard job to get at it if you have done it once.

did you get a chance to look into the early front seat backs? any 2000cs cars there by chance? My '69 2000 runs fantastic! picked it up about 10 days ago, with the new oem exhaust system and engine rebuild it is a very quiet car. I'm picking up pictures today that I took Saturday, will post soon,

seats are completely different from either the "wide" early 2002 seats (like my 69) or the later "normal" '02 seats. So they're definintely not from a contemporary CS coupe. The only other thing left would be either a Neue Klasse sedan or an early 2500 six cylinder...so the mystery deepens. May have to write MT for an answer.

Glad your 2000 is running well.
