340 Norris

Very cool but most people won't know what this is. What is duration and lift? The Norris Model 301 is roughly 285° duration and requires valve lash caps. IIRC the Norris Model 340 is 300° duration, but I don't have my notes with me to verify this. Got a cam card to go with it?

Fred '74tii and '69

(both had Norris 301's, now going to Schrick 336 and 316, respectively)

Does this help?

Yep, based on your card duration is 330°. If the lift is in thousandths then 0.340 * 1.3 rocker ratio = 0.442" valve lift (11.2 mm)

For comparison, Schrick 316 valve lift (I/E) is 11.9mm/11.9mm and Schrick 336 valve lift (I/E) is 12.4mm/12.0mm.

The Norris 301 is a very nice street cam, so I expect yours to be a good race cam. Check out the following link for some cool historical info on Norris Baronian and the Norris Cam company:
