Nose(core support) replacement, any tips?

Hello all,

I decided that while my `02 was in the garage for the water would be the perfect time to switch on the nose from my donor clip. I have searched the forum, and read what threads I could find. I don`t really have any questions, just wondering if anyone has any tips to help it go smoother? The one on my car is halfway loose now(curtousey of a telephone pole), but the one on the `68 clip is still firmly attached.

Also, I have heard mention of people making the core supports bolt-in. Is there any potential advantage in this, and what fabrication would be required. I can`t imagine it would be as simple as mounting the factory support with bolts instead.
