The title says it all. Here's what I have:

-1 full set of IE Stage 1 springs. Low miles on them. SOLD.

-1 pair (front) of IE Stage 2 springs. No miles on them. SOLD.

-1 pair Bilstein Sport front strut inserts. About 5 years old, still have smooth action and plenty strong rebound. Were removed to make the move to coilovers. Come with gland nuts. SOLD.

-1 set (4) 320i beauty rings and center caps for steel wheels. In good shape, just a couple of scuffs. Center roundels are a little faded. SOLD.

-5 Weber 32/36 carbs, just core carbs waiting for rebuilds. Asking $50 each as they sit, or $200 each rebuilt, jetted with '02 baseline jetting, new chokes. Your choice as to how you want them, but you gotta give me time if you want them rebuilt.

Anyway, get this crap off of my shelf and onto your car! As always, I am happy to ship, but only for exorbitant shipping fees paid by the buyer.

I'm in need of the beauty rings. I'm in Ballard and am going for a drive this morning--where are you located? Thanks, Stu.

I always do it right the second time.

Sorry ponchis, Stu gets first crack at the beauty rings because he's local. If that falls through, I'll shoot you some pics.

Stu, I'm in West Seattle. I will be in the shop today (Sunday), so you can look me up. Just give me a shout first to make sure I'm not out running parts or something. You can find contact info at www.midnightmotorsport.com

Josh, call it $100 shipped to CO (I wasn't joking about exorbitant shipping charges; I hate shipping stuff).

BMW Neue Klasse - a birth of a Sports Sedan

Unveiling of the Neue Klasse Unveiled in 1961, BMW 1500 sedan was a revolutionary concept at the outset of the '60s. No tail fins or chrome fountains. Instead, what you got was understated and elegant, in a modern sense, exciting to drive as nearly any sports car, and yet still comfortable for four.   The elegant little sedan was an instant sensation. In the 1500, BMW not only found the long-term solution to its dire business straits but, more importantly, created an entirely new

History of the BMW 2002 and the 02 Series

In 1966, BMW was practically unknown in the US unless you were a touring motorcycle enthusiast or had seen an Isetta given away on a quiz show.  BMW’s sales in the US that year were just 1253 cars.  Then BMW 1600-2 came to America’s shores, tripling US sales to 4564 the following year, boosted by favorable articles in the Buff Books. Car and Driver called it “the best $2500 sedan anywhere.”  Road & Track’s road test was equally enthusiastic.  Then, BMW took a cue from American manufacturers,

    The BMW 2002 Production Run

BMW 02 series are like the original Volkswagen Beetles in one way (besides both being German classic cars)—throughout their long production, they all essentially look alike—at least to the uninitiated:  small, boxy, rear-wheel drive, two-door sedan.  Aficionados know better.   Not only were there three other body styles—none, unfortunately, exported to the US—but there were some significant visual and mechanical changes over their eleven-year production run.   I’ve extracted t
