I have really developed the 2002 bug. How does this group feel about this one. I have a really good body man but...

I talked to the owner and it has been 12 years since the Doctor owned it . Apparently the wife sold to a kid who wrecked it and it has been stored for 12 years.

I would say that there are probably alot of us that wish we were closer...That said, I think it's just a little pricey...I'd take $3K cash with me and offer $2500 to start (if it is a decent runner as claimed)...A good body man will probably still need a new nose ($300 used to $1000 new), both bumpers $200-500, and a $100 door. And grilles...$100-$400...I'd be surprised if the 2nd gear synchros don't crunch. Maybe 50K miles, judging from the interior (very nice), but doubtful. Desireable year and color, but looking at the front and rear, and the side damage, it may have done some off-roading, so I would check for under carriage problems, engine mounts, oil pan...It'll need brakes, hoses, etc,but it looks like a great car to restore. If you want a plug and play, buy a nicely sorted 76 for $5K. My very first car was a 69 in 73. Good luck.
