Clutch question

I am getting a burning smell from my trans in the cabin after driving, Just replaced a clutch that had a slipping problem with a used one from a known working clutch. Flywheel was resurfaced and new throw-out bearing also. Fluid was also changed.

Problem: In first gear, the car pulls off and reach a high rpm to force a change in 2nd gear. Almost feel like it slips but the power is there with the increase. All other gears are fine.

all that labor and u used a USED clutch (?)

i'm suspecting that is the first thing to doubt

higher load during take off and not during

upper gears once in motion
