tii engine for sale or trade....complete

Guten Tag!

I have a tii engine for sale or trade. Car is a 1971 tii (yes, pre-US import) It has plastic runners, but the block vin does not match. Original kugelfischer has delivery issues on 1&2, but I have a working pull replacement k-fish that I haven't gotten around to putting on, as well as an extra set of delivery valves.

CR is 10:1 (to the best of my knowledge), with piano tops.

Leakdown is less than 10% on all cylinders, with the engine cold after a few cranks. Engine does not run due to fuel delivery issues mentioned above. Engine was running strong (was my daily driver) until no fuel in 1&2 blew the head gasket between those two cylinders, and even ran ok on two cylinders till I got home that day! Head gasket I have since replaced. No issues adjusting valve clearance.

Coil is new, and comes with new msd wires. I do not have the original tii airbox. Alternator has about 200 miles on it since replacement. Header collector flange was welded by the previous owner, and is cut off post flange so it can be salvaged. Warm-up regulator is good, and I have a spare. Oil dipstick tube support is broken, once repaired. I think the head is an e12. Radiator has some repairs, but doesn't leak. Spark plugs have only been turned over since new. Old alternator is included.

My tii was far from stock when I got it, and I'm sick of working on this motor for 150hp...so I got an s14:). Now this bad boy must go.

Trades I'm into are: s14 dry-sump kit, wilwood setup f/r, miller dynasty 200dx, 2-post lift. Don't hesitate to ask if you think I would be interested. It should be something that will help me build my s14-powered 2002tii.

Price-wise....send me a message with your offer and we can talk. I'm reasonable.

I don't mind shipping if you: set it up and carry insurance and use a dedicated engine shipping container....or you can just come pick it up. I have everything needed to pull the motor. The motor is still in the car. If you want it shipped, my time to pull it will cost you, but not much;)

Located in Long Beach, CA. Not interested in partout unless all parts are purchased coincidentally.

Well, interest in this motor is lacking, and so the price is slacking.

Anybody need this motor? It's taking up space that I could use otherwise.

It comes with lots of spares, and just about every accessory. the alternator is pretty new and there is a newly rebuilt warmup-reg as a spare. Theres a new k-fish and coil, new plug wires, new plugs...

Numbers aren't matching so a partout is not gonna hurt MY feelings.

Somebody make me an offer! On anything!

trades accepted...just ask.

Machs gut!

BMW Neue Klasse - a birth of a Sports Sedan

Unveiling of the Neue Klasse Unveiled in 1961, BMW 1500 sedan was a revolutionary concept at the outset of the '60s. No tail fins or chrome fountains. Instead, what you got was understated and elegant, in a modern sense, exciting to drive as nearly any sports car, and yet still comfortable for four.   The elegant little sedan was an instant sensation. In the 1500, BMW not only found the long-term solution to its dire business straits but, more importantly, created an entirely new

History of the BMW 2002 and the 02 Series

In 1966, BMW was practically unknown in the US unless you were a touring motorcycle enthusiast or had seen an Isetta given away on a quiz show.  BMW’s sales in the US that year were just 1253 cars.  Then BMW 1600-2 came to America’s shores, tripling US sales to 4564 the following year, boosted by favorable articles in the Buff Books. Car and Driver called it “the best $2500 sedan anywhere.”  Road & Track’s road test was equally enthusiastic.  Then, BMW took a cue from American manufacturers,

    The BMW 2002 Production Run

BMW 02 series are like the original Volkswagen Beetles in one way (besides both being German classic cars)—throughout their long production, they all essentially look alike—at least to the uninitiated:  small, boxy, rear-wheel drive, two-door sedan.  Aficionados know better.   Not only were there three other body styles—none, unfortunately, exported to the US—but there were some significant visual and mechanical changes over their eleven-year production run.   I’ve extracted t
