i am in need of a drivers door in GOOD condition.....i.e. - no rust or major damage as a whole.

Yes I have a driver's door that is rust-free.

I think all the front windshields are compatible. I will check further on that, and you do the same. Other members might have immediate answer to that question.

clear and tinted.

Most 72 and later cars have tinted windshields; on 71's it's kinda mixed, and earlier cars have clear glass. The tinting is pretty subtle--you almost have to have them side by side to see. There are two different windshield mounting gaskets, though.

Cabrios and Tourings use a different windshield.

In this regard, "designpunk", I have the windshield that will fit your vehicle, but with light green tint.
