Fuel tank size and gas mileage

Hey guys what is the fuel tank size on a 1974 2002? I'm not sure my fuel gauge is accurate. Also wondering what sort of gas mileage to expect. Thanks.

Fuel milage will vary, depending on a number of factors, but most of us get somewhere in the neighborhood of 25 mpg on the road. The tank holds 12½ gallons.

17 sounds a bit low unless you have a couple of DCOEs on it.

even with dcoe's, 17 would be bad. i violated my principles with the car by checking the mileage last tank. 18.7 mpg of dual sidedraft fun....punching it around town, tuning the carbs, hanging the tail out on a skidpad for a while and more around town work.
