I’d say that’s a major improvement!!  Wow!!!  Just waiting in one more part from restoration design. Then we will get the old girl back home for more of the stuff I can do on my own. It’s really exciting to see progress!!

Any more pictures on replacing the inner A pillar panel?

Looks great!

I’ll get some inside ones for ya. We didn’t use the whole panel. Just what we needed.

Those are very nice spot welds. Everything looks like it lined up well.

Unfortunately, it looks as though the person doing the metal work also took off the support brackets that allow the fenders to be screwed onto the A-pillars. Within the last four months they have become NLA (The part numbers are: 41-21-1-826-411 and 41-21-1-826-412).

I just recently put a WTB posting up for these. If you have them, luck you! If not, let me know how you solve this. Just getting a 90degree bend on some appropriately gauged sheet metal with holes drilled in the right spots will probably serve in a pinch, but the real BMW pieces would have been ideal.

Sincerely, all the best!!!

Thank you for the part numbers. I did check around. Blunt had the right side - but the left I didn’t find anywhere. I’m sure someone has one with dust on it at some random parts bin.

Im dropping off the fenders so they can mount them correctly and fab up the left side. ?

I’m going to chop up my parts car soon and I’ll sell you those if you are still in need. Will post a pic tomorrow.

I have something better. I have a brand new drivers side!  I had bought a bunch of sheet metal from W&N but didn’t do the build. I was digging around in my parts and found it. I’ll let you know how much when I get home tonight. Where do I need to ship to?

We ended up fabbing one side. You’d never know it wasn’t factory.
