Adding any safety device to a car can’t be debated, it’s a smart thing to do. I’m with the others though, if the flywheel is installed correctly with new bolts and lock tite (as well as the clutch) you should not have to worry about it coming apart.
So, everyone needs to cage their cars, wear race helmets, sirens, flashing lights.......

Hmm.. the Alpina looks Colorado-based in those shots...

Walloth Nesch sells them.
I did see that after a lot of googling, but it seems they only have complete systems, not the universal muffler that I need/want. The existing one I have has a crack in it where it hit the ground, but that is fixable with some welding and maybe a little patch panel. It will have to do since I don't even see any "universal" or "Do It Yourself" (as they call it in their .pdf catalog) mufflers offered any more. It's all vehicle-specific stuff now (as far as I can tell).

Hope all is well with Rob. I bought two Sebring (Austrian co) mufflers off him, and am trying to find a place to buy another. Seems nobody is carrying them in the USA...

Hey everyone! We are still chugging along! Just got another $100 donation, this time from Andreas Hegedus! THANK YOU ANDREAS!
Also, I finally sent out individual "thank you" emails to everyone whom I hadn't done that for in the past. Once again, the love in the 02 community is REAL! Could not be more proud to be part of this amazing group of humans. <3- 1

Yeah can you imagine a thing of beauty like that with 380hp?? Well, we don't need to imagine it, because there it is on youtube!

Hey all, after two years i finally got them on. BBS E32 were originally made for the NSU TTS racing series, originally produced in a 13inch wheel, these have been stepped up to a 15inch. longer studs and spacers help them to fit over the hubs and brakes, and give clearance for the coilovers. let me know what you think
Looks like a pretty car wearing beautiful jewelry.

Just to give you an idea, this is some excellent reporting on what is going on on the island of Puerto Rico on a day-to-day basis.

It's been fifteen years since the BMW 2002 FAQ was born, and in that time it has steadily grown and added more features and doo-dads and whistles and shiny bits you just like to look at for fun. The man responsible for that is, Of Course, our own Mr. Steve K., your humble administrator. Without Steve, this place would probably still just be an Early-Yahoo!-style index page and maybe a linked gallery page and a semi-functioning forum. But because we have Steve, we have this magnificent masterpiece of web design and engineering that boggles the mind just thinking about it.
Well Done, Sir Steve! Your masterwork is a spectacle to behold, a beautiful thing worth looking at, and we have a fine time doing it. Plus we get to talk about how to fix our cars real good. =)On behalf of the entire online 02 community and beyond, Thank you, Sir Steve for the fine effort and awesome result. =)
Love,
-Rob
(the one with the idea for the FAQ page and which Steve picked up and ran with for the touchdown at the Superdome ... in space.) =)

Good times... ;-p

The only way this story could get any better is if you were talking about an e28 M5 Touring (wagon) conversion car.... That I would wet my pants for an not sleep for a week... ;-p

:::shouts ECHO!!!::: into an empty thread....
I donno, have you tried looking on the state of California's website? -
I'd expect much higher costs for parts than 02s, but they look and sound great, and if it seems like a good deal, i'd say why not? There have to be Maz clubs online who can help you better with specifics, no?

It's back up... Now I have to wonder how long it would take to download the entire website. You know, as a backup..
