  1. I have a 1968 1600 and am missing the spring pictured here. It shows in this diagram as item number 11, but the table with part numbers does not show past item number 7. Anyone know what this part number is? The image below was pulled from a similar BAT post.
  2. I know this thread is quite old, but I got my brake shoes for my 68' 1600 at this place. They were helpful with confirming part size and seemed to have a variety of parts available. 081-0093 CLASSICGARAGE.COM
  3. I ended up taking this advice and just grabbed the washers from Ace. They had a big enough selection that I was able to find some that worked. Didn't even need to trim the posts down either.
  4. I can't figure out what the part number is for the washer on the 13mm corner fasters on the belt line trim. Does anyone have the part number for this part?
  5. Thanks Tom! Looks like I need to clean up the whole thing a bit, that bottom pipe has rust on it and the air cleaner itself had been off the car for so long that I must have hooked it up wrong. I only put about 3k on it when I drove it regularly back in high school, but its been garaged for long stretches of time in rural California until recently when I finally got it back in my own garage.
  6. Thanks for the feedback, and recommendation to do fuel line cleanup. There is a good chance that it is a garden hose. I never paid much attention to it because its been on there since at lest 1998 when I got the car.
  7. My valve cover breather hose is starting to crack and not seat properly, but I cannot figure out what the part number is. I have looked all over this site and even took a peek at some engine photos on BAT and have not seen a good shot that matches my configuration. The versions I have seen all show a much straighter hose in use, but my air cleaner has the connection pipe going down rather than sideways. Anyone know the part number or have a similar setup that they can share?
  8. I just wrapped this project up myself and struggled mightily. Biggest issue I ran into was dropping the damn pin and then having to find it inside the pedal bracket. BUT I did find the perfect tool combination and it worked on the first try. Hold the pin with the pincher hand and slide it into the booster bracket. Then use the flathead screwdriver to move the pedal arm into alignment and shift the pin in deeper. Then use the screwdriver to pry it the rest of the way in. Two hours of work solved in less than 5 minutes of work.
  9. I’m in the market for a brake booster for my 1600. I currently have a used one that was pulled from a 2002 (non-Tii) about 15 years ago. ideally I’d like to get one locally but happy to have it shipped as well. I’m in the 98155 zip code. Let me know if have a working one that you can sell.

  11. Do you have the brake booster still? Looks like you had two when you originally posted. I'm in the 98155 zipcode.
  12. I realize this request is very old, but thought I’d respond for future searches. I ended up having to to install the newer style boots because it was the only part available to me at the time and i was doing work in a remote location. Short answer is that the 2002 boots can fit, but look like they would rub and the suspension and likely fail pretty soon after. This is what they look like when installed on a 1969 1600.
