    Thank you for all the responses. It appears the adjusting arm may not be the correct one as suggested by Schnellvintage and I've located and ordered the 9.5 x 975 v-belt after some searching online. Will post results once I have all of the correct parts.

    I noticed some wear on my v-belt so I ordered Conti AVX10x875 based on recommendation from parts supplier. It was so tight that I had to remove the alternator, put it on the pulley, and pry the alternator back into place. It's definitely too tight and I realize this isn't good for water pump. In looking at the old v-belt, it was a Conti AVX10x888 - slightly longer. I've read several other posts here and elsewhere and don't see that anyone else uses this size belt. I confirmed it was seated properly so not sure if I should just go with longer belt or if I should be looking for other issues. Any guidance or suggestions welcomed.

    Pair of original seats from a 1976 BMW 2002. Seats are not perfect but are in good, serviceable condition. Passenger seat is very good. Seats are located in Rhode Island. $225 for the pair or best offer.

    Hi Bluedevils. From what I've read you're the 02 seatbelt guru. I have a 76 and am looking to refurb or replace my belts as they no longer retract. I'm new here and wasnt able to direct message you so I'm not sure if or how you will see this but I am anxious to connect. -Chris
