Thanks I will try that approach and will certainly use shoulder to shoulder clips for the final stretch. I will post photos of my attempt

Hi All
I got a BMW OEM headliner from W&N but am having trouble installing. I've read all the threads on the topic and started at the rear with the bar in the exact position shown in first picture I copied from ClayW's excellent post. https://www.bmw2002faq.com/forums/topic/126157-headliner-installation/
I got the clips on the rear cardboard and at the front with all the wrinkles out of the center. The issue is at the C Pillar pieces. There is way less material than the original headliner and it looks like the C pillar flaps are not even attached in the right spot. If I stretch it to cover the C Pillar it creates a ton of bunches in the corners. It just looks wrong.
Am I missing something?

Hi All
During my restoration I have made several large part orders. In each case i have checked pricing on Ebay, Rogers, Bav Auto etc., but always Walloth and Nesch prices are lower by 30-50% in most cases. I know the shipping is higher, but on these larger orders that isn't as big of a factor. I'm at the point where I need to order belt trim, rocker trim, rain gutter trim etc. and once again the price difference is enormous!
How can there be such a massive price difference in parts versus the domestic suppliers? (For engine and performance bits I have purchased from Ireland and found the pricing fair and the expertise outstanding). I've been super happy with W&N, both with the speed of shipping and customer service. In future my orders may not be as large so the shipping will be a bigger consideration.
How can there not be a domestic part supplier with prices more in line with W&N?
ThanksDarren

Hi All
My '73 tii body is nearing completion and will soon be painted. There is going to be a Shutz gravel guard type material sprayed to the underside. Could someone tell me what the wheel well and underside color was from the factory? I have seen cars painted black, while others seem to have body color underside. i haven't been able to definitively determine what is factory correct.
thanks

Price: $1Location: Ontario, Canada
Description:I have a hood, trunklid and doors. They have been sandblasted amd epoxy primered so you get what you see. No surprises lurking.
The thing hard to see in photos is that trunklid was used as a shelf by a previous owner at one point and is dented down towards the inner frame structure which is why i found another one to use on my project.
Make me an offer. I can ship from NY zip 14303 or within Canada L2N 2N7.

Hi All
I did some searching but was unable to find whether there was 1 or a handful of swap meets that would be considered unmissable in the east for 02 parts? I'm familiar with the Carlisle import meet but haven't seen much in the way of 02 parts there recently. Porsche has the Stoddard meet, and other British marques have similar preeminent events, but I haven't been able to identify an 02 analogue. Thanks for the help!

Those holes are where a previous owner made a metal cover that rusted like crazy and pop riveted it on. Im getting those holes welded closed. Thanks for the pointers and part number

Related question. Were there only 2 consoles, the short and long? I have a 73 and am looking for a used long console. Are the consoles from the later cars the same as the long consoles in the roundie cars?

Thanks for the info. Im just starting a project that didnt come with a front bumper and which has a long sided rear bumper that has issues on all 3 sections. Cost to fix and rechrome plus the appearance if the shorty bumpets makes this option look attractive.

Hi All. I have the same question as posted above. I have searched the forum but not been able to find an in depth description of their quality and authenticity. Could some members vouch for these?
thanks

Hi All
I'm hunting for a 2002tii project and need some help with a prospect. I found a '73 tii chassis number 2763973. The engine has the fuel injection fitted. However, the engine number the owner sent me seems to be 1512567 (photo attached). From the books I have referenced, that seems to be a non-US 1966 1600-2. Am i looking t the right numbers? Seems hard to believe a US tii would be retrofitted with a non-US 1600-2 block.
thanks in advance
Darren

Do i have the rearmost bar in the right spot? There is that groove on the cardboard piece where it could snap into which would bring the whole thing back also
