  1. Thanks Steve. My car is a British (UK) 1975 2002 automatic.
  2. Thank you for your reply. yes I check the #2 and it looked good, see photo. Ignore the diaphragm on the left, that's the wrong one for my carb.
  3. I don't think my solex carb has a fuel shut off solenoid, see photos. Why would that be? Also I think my thermo starting-valve doesn't work, where can I get a new one please the O rings are missing and it look past it's best.
  4. Hello I have an automatic 1975 2002 with auto choke. I think I need a new fuel shut off solenoid, can any one help me out with a part number, supplier or photo. Also how do you remove it? it in a tight space, can it be removed without taking off the carb? The problem is the car has a habit of cutting out at junctions when I got to pull away, as it has an automatic transmission, so I can't drop the clutch and give it some gas. I was told it could be a bad diaphragm in the carb but I checked that and it looked good. Also on a long journey it can overrun when I turn off the ignition. Any thoughts please? Thanks Jason
  5. Hello I need advice please - my 1975 2002 auto front brake ATE 140P?? calliper seals are all split, four on each calliper what size seals do I need, diameter? Thanks
  6. mmm Hi Simeon, the only light on the was the red 'L' light, no other. I have never seen the oil pressure orange (O) light come on?
  7. Thank you Jake, appreciate it. My key isn't a genuine BMW key if that makes any difference. Can you normally enter the key at FAHRT position? I guess if the ignition isn't switching off probably (0) then my 'L' light remaining on is the cause of the battery drain.
  8. Thank you Jake - No the ignition barrel will not turn to the (0) position. I can only enter and remove the key when the slot is pointing to FAHRT. I can't get it to turn further to the left anti-clockwise. If the key slot was an hour hand on a clock it would be pointing to 2 o'clock. The (0) engraving is pointing to just above 9 o'clock.
  9. Hi The 'L' warning light remains on after the engine is switch off and the ignition key removed. The light goes out if the car is running. It is a 1975 2002 auto. The light remained on over night and flattened the battery. With the key removed the 'key slot' is pointing to 'FAHRT' not '0' is this right? I have only had the car three weeks so I'm learning on the job. Thank you. jase
