    For the love of 1600’s! Derby wins 1st place ?at the Legends of Autobahn for clean class! There’s something special and stunning about this early original 1600 that everyone seems to ?! I’m so happy For Derby’s debut for Monterey car week! Thanks to everyone for the follow and support! ? @ Nicklaus Club - Monterey

    While my friends are safely rolling into Monterey, or at fabulous car parties.... I’m having a ‘detail party’ of my own tonight in my parents crowded garage with my sassy sweats on and getting both cars ready for Legends of the Autobahn.... !!! ?

    Derby does it again at the Little Car Show in Pacific Grove for cars under 1800cc’s !! This time with TWO awards from the Merchants Group of Pacific Grove and an Honorary award from the Pacific Grove Youth Center! ?There are no first place, best of show, etc at this car show. It’s all about the residents of this little town of Pacific Grove and their favorite picks! Thank you to the City of Pacific Grove giving Derby some love! ??

    Driving along on a spirited drive for my birthday today and 2002sday and I run into Sammy Hagar in his z8 Alpina! He apparently knows Bill Arnold (because Bill used to work on his 3 series) and he wished me a happy birthday! ?

    I’m grateful to Performance Technic for the use of their facility for the interview. And Thank you to 2002 Garage Werks for putting up with me as an ‘Attention to Detail’ customer! ? I appreciate all the hard work you helped put into TESORO. I’m forever grateful to all my friends who have supported me whether it was your positive feedback or helping me source parts for TESORO’s build.
     
    This video was filmed in 3 days in the backroads of Marin. As a resident in Marin County,  there are some really nicely paved roads with incredible scenic views of the Pacific Ocean. The person who filmed this is a freelance videographer who also did some commercials for the last Super Bowl. His beautiful artistry is well portrayed in this video and I'm so lucky to have worked with him. 
     
    The interview was about 2 hours of just casual banter of questions and answers and I really enjoyed this segment as it was very light hearted and I could be more myself without having to stand next to a "Car Enthusiast Celebrity" - (AKA Jay Leno... ) and be so nervous!

    One of the many things I’m getting done before Brisbane.... I just swapped out my old rims for a new set of custom BBS RMs done by Ehrlich Wheel Works...
    These new rims are basically identical.... but there’s something a little different.... can you tell what it is? ??

    Why Tesoro?

    People have been asking me..."Why the name 'Tesoro'...?"
    Someone called me that once... or twice... or a few times... and I felt like this was also an endearing and appropriate name for my 02.. especially with all the unique, rare, and custom parts on the car.... Tesoro is my "treasure".

    Trunk Panels!
    It was brought to my attention after Tesoro’s restoration that I didn’t have the correct trunk panels for Tesoro. I had newly wrapped square light trunk panels instead of roundie trunk panels.
    I finally found a set of original roundie trunk panels that were recovered in black, but I will be recovering them in the grey elephant skin factory from BMW.
    I ended up giving my nice square set to a new young 02 owner that lives down the street from me... paying it forward... ?
    There have been so many old school 02 people who have helped mentor me along the way and have given me some awesome advice and 02 parts.... I make an effort that when I see someone who may need something for their car and I may have a car part that could help, It brings me great joy to see their surprising smile on their faces.... ?

    Some women have a heel fetish... I have a steering wheel fetish... ? I collect vintage BMW steering wheels. 9 wheels total.

    The other two are in TESORO and DERBY.
