Boot welding. I was advised to do separate welds and fills . I think that may have been wrong. One larger peice may have been better.

Air cleaners were fowl with dust and fell apart in my hands. Manifold was lose and contributed to very poor performance. I reset the webbers and now starts on the button. No choke connected tho.

  19. Tim is right here. I'm doing the above. I was going to do the square peice but the angle cut is better. The door is going in a bath of mollassas for a few weeks and then I will do the repair. today its back to the sills which are looking worse as more paint comes off. If your door is really bad a new one from W&N may be the answer if you have the cash. Raoul
  20. 'Snowy' says hi, also 72 chaminox. Presently cutting and welding out the rust. Raoul
  21. I would buy it anyway! Spend even more money on a MIG welder, ditch G/F ( she will probably go anyway), get into 'coffee and cars', join a club, I know flppant , so back to cutting and welding.
  22. Thanks Esty Just found the problem both pins badly bent . I cut the head off and belted it from the top, came out with your suggested 'persuasion'. Now to cut the rust from the doors.
