Here is a link to a sweet rally 02 on ebay. Maybe some of the pictures can help you
That car is the business!

My understanding (which could certainly be wrong) is that the idle jets affect jetting up to ~2500 and also affect transition from main jets to air correctors (~4500). So, smaller idles lean out the 0-2500 range, then the main jets cause 2500 (cruising rpm) to richen up as well as up into air corrector range.
-
Right now, I'd like to lean out the bottom end at full throttle a bit and maybe richen the cruise. I just don't know how, as those things don't go well together as I understand the principals of jetting.
Smaller idle jets and a bigger main jets maybe?
Great thread BTW. I've been putting off installing my WB O2 setup and this is providing a good impetus.

Looking for a rear seat cover for my '74. I have the seat, but my cover is in sub-par shape. Color needs to be black.

:-)
Yep, but how do you block the silly Vevo popups in the video?
Cheers,
Ray
Good question. Those are really annoying too. Hmm.

Part number for engine seems to be 121 021 00 02 0 & has 8B66 cast into it.

That's a funny way of cancelling them out. If you really don't want to see them you can always just add the two below to your Ad Block extension filter list and never see YouTube comments again.

This, but the engine number is on the part where the starter motor mounts to, on the intake side.
Check that tonight and the number I see (see below) is still an odd number. Doesn't pull up anything on the link posted earlier in this thread or on realoem (when in the 'Archives' section). On realoem it pulls up a 325E.

Far too square for me.... <pbbfffftttttt!!!!>
t
Toby - Didn't you hear "it's hip to be square?"

I've gotten spam before from "YouTube" before, but it wasn't to an address that was linked here.

Thats your gearbox number. Your engine number is on the block. Very close to where your looking but better viewed from the exaust side. Will have a + either side of the number.
Can be hard too see unless wiped down
Thanks. I knew something was off. Was hoping it was me looking at the incorrect number vs VIN being sketchy.

While working on my car I took notice of the engine vin for the first time. As you can see below it appears to not be the standard VIN (at least that I'm accustomed to seeing via the handbook or via Google image search). When I try to find out what car that VIN is from it only comes up with an E30 535i. Anyone have any ideas? Perhaps some person just stamped some random number on it at some point? In case you can't see it well from the photo the VIN is 209062/4.

That's what I used. Still working fine after 20 years.
I found some reflective backed non flammable pad and covered the entire underside of the hood with it in one piece. I know it's not stock but it eliminates almost all engine noise and provides total protection for the hood paint.
Do you have any more information on this? I'd be interested...

Important to know your and the cars' limits. Painful video to watch as it's rolled back over.
You'd think with all the people hanging around that at least a few would help the car roll back over a bit more gently.

Anyone know if a tii crankshaft pulley can be used on a non-tii? I searched, but didn't see anyone else ask that...Also, what other pulleys are compatible with the non-tii? E21 non-acc? I'm not running the stock fan (have electric fan installed) if that makes a difference.

grease...any.
4th, ebrake AND a big screwdriver held in of the flywheel starter ring grooves levered against bellhousing.
locktite...see item #6 in weg's how to list that you quoted..
Thanks Marshall.
