Looks like a four speed? Going to be tough getting it out of the rear cover! PM me if it is indeed a four speed and I’ll see what I have.

You can simply bend up a hunk of brazing rod, or even a coat hanger

I seriously doubt that Art is “fabricating” a story! Rather, I suspect that some of us —Alpinaguru and I — have had good experiences with Edgar and, at least one, Art, has not had a good experience with Edgar. The record should reflect that. We don’t need to call each other liars because another’s experience was different from ours... ?Regards,
Steve
Thanks Steve. I still have the hub as I was given no return option. Makes an interesting paperweight.

Ryan,Request more/better photos. I’ve purchased from ego-bgo previously: never a problem.
The small metal trim pieces, where the spokes meet the rim, appear to need re-plating. This is a common problem. These steering wheels had a along run (late 1967 through 1973) and details changed: some of the trim pieces were chrome plated; others were, perhaps, anodized aluminum — or something other than chrome. I also see a chrome trim ring surrounding the hub cover. I’m not certain if this is chrome on plastic. And I’m not certain if it needs re-plating. Lastly, the original rim covers are old by now. Recovering by one of the known steering wheel shops is, if I recall, $300-ish. The recover is going to be real leather, not the faux leather of the originals, and will have real stitching. Don’t get white stitching as in that ridiculous $1,200 example!
Here’s a prior thread:Good luck and best regards,
Steve
Pics sent. I disagree with Steve regarding ego-bgo. I purchased a Petri wheel listed as fitting an 02 from him and while the splines looked like BMW the OD was too large. I contacted him and he basically blamed me for the problem. Not a very pleasant fellow!

Hey,
I think the captive nuts for the seat rails are actually 6mm. Never seen anything aftermarket.

Bummer! Do you have an Instagram account? If not, shoot me some info and I will get it out there.

Pretty sure you mean Jensen Healey. You might want to include a photo of the input shaft as the splines and the pilot bearing are completely different than an 02 235/5.
