    Thank you, I've been an avid fan of your site as well. BMW NA is who we've been working with but they weren't so sure about this one. Their main focus at the moment is really nailing down and organizing the history of the CSLs and figuring out which one is which amongst all the chassis code swaps. This little 2002 definitely caught my eye, personally....even when it was surrounded by the other legends in the collection.

    Thank you for the kind words in regards to my photography. Sadly this car came at the very end of a long day of shooting the rest of their vintage collection, so I ran out of sunlight before getting to dive under the hood and such for the good mechanic content. As mentioned previously, the team doesn't have a lot of info about this particular car compared to the others. On the other cars in the collection you can dig up their history with a little work, but we weren't able to get much further beyond the information that this one belonged to Polak and was purchased following his death. It was still running dual 45s when I shot it. It was a rather tame engine bay compared to the others in the stable. If anyone would like any particular detail shots or anything, I can search through my photos and see if I have any that didn't make their way into the article. Just let me know

    I've driven "lowriders" as you call them, for about a decade now and I've never had any problems turning or driving them. With attention paid to offsets, tire sizes, and geometry, an aggressive wheel fitment and lowered ride height can still be achieved without harming drivability to the point of becoming "unuseful". To the OP, here's an article that we put together to show what goes into bagging a BMW E28. Bagging a 2002 would be somewhat similar to this process, so it should give you an idea of what would be involved in your project.     We'll be out there both weeks to photograph the events and I'll hopefully have my 2002 ready for O'Fest. It was great seeing a few CSLs and 2002s out this year. It'll be amazing to see even more running laps this year.

    StanceWorks has been working closely with BMW on several cool projects lately, and we recently had the chance to shoot BMW's Vintage Collection. The first car we're featuring is one of the surviving M1 Procars. I thought I'd share some of the photos here, as I figure you guys would appreciate 'em.     Based on the various 15x8 and 15x8.5 RS fitments I've found in this thread, it seems like you'd have to find RS centers with an extremely shallow pad depth to fit lips like that without poking or using too much camber. It might just be a matter of photo angle, though. I'm still testing the 2002 fitment waters.

    He definitely nailed almost every trendy cue, hahaha. It was taken at the USDM show over in Japan. They're all about mimicking US Fads and celebrating "USDM styling". I'm still curious about the widths, offsets, and tire sizing.

    Have you guy seen this one floating around yet? The body could use a lot of loving and the wheels would look better in a different color, but I'm impressed by the fitment. I'm still learning my way around 2002 fitment specs, but this struck me as a lot of lip and stretch for such little poke and not a whole lot of camber up front. It has me a bit puzzled.
