  3. Great topic. My Ti lux running dual side drafts also with no filters and I am in search of proper filters. Also looking for someone that knows how to dial in dual 40's on a 2 litre in the SoCal area. Thanks

    Give Matt Rose a call at Ronin Autowerks (Fullerton); real good guys - I know it may be a hike for you, they'll get you in and out.

    I've also cruised some of the Alfa boards, good stuff. As for the other brothers who chimed in, this has been some good insight, thanks a bunch!

  4. This is for a weber dual 40 side draft set-up (obviously);

    I've been looking through archives, doing internet research, yadda yadda yadaa - cannot seem to come up with a complete answer on the pro's / con's of "socking the trumpets".  I like the look of the open stacks, not to mention the sound, but combing over what I have gathered, covering the stacks with sock filters will improve the wear and life of the engine, however, cause the webers to be re-tuned and may have a slight adverse effect on hp

    So, I'm asking the FAQ as you guys are as detailed as heck! Thanks in advance.

    BTW - I saw that Limy Steve installed some mesh covers on his stacks but again, I've read socks are better than mesh - WTF - help.

  5. That is a capacitor to remove ignition interference (clicking) from your radio. You can disconnect or leave in place, it won't make any difference in performance to your engine. It connects to your coil positive and provides a low impedance path to ground for interference frequencies but high resistance to DC voltage.

    KA CHING!!!
