  1. I'm out this year (SAT Champions league final).

This is  a fun, day long event;  It seems that they've expanded the event to two days, SAT & SUN.  I think SAT will be the better of the two days (IMO).  Always good to get there early, classic guys get pushed to the front; the parking correl is near the entrance of the actual event.  Bring your chairs and FULL ice chests.  Once the track event starts up, it's kinda cool with lots of cars waiting to get on.  Good fun with your Bimmer brethren.

  2. I'm in need of a set of seat tracks for a set of original square tail seats.  The track side with"teeth" should be a 90 degree bend on both side; there should also be two mounting holes on the tops of each rail; not the "tab type" mounting holes found on earlier models.  thanks for any help. text or email photos here:

    Hey, John,

I had my spare set re-done with original perforated vinyl centers -- finding still-flexible sections, as you know, was quite a challenge -- but that tuck was really tough for my (very good, I believe) upholsterer.  It's not nearly as "crisp" as the original!  I am going to get happy with it as is!

He said he could make the tuck sharper IF I didn't mind exposed stitching visible from the face to pull in the tuck.  I objected to that approach because the originals used heat sealing rather than exposed stitching to "pull in" that tuck.  Mind you, if the tuck is sharp, that exposed stitching might be virtually un-detectable.  Maybe that is the way to go.  I don't know what I'll do with the car's excellent original seats which have lost their tuck over the years!

    Best regards,

    Steve

  4. I'm looking for a set of original seats (navy blue preferred but not a must) to replace my aging PROCAR seats (and my aging ass).  If you've got a set please send me a note; if you have a set that needs to be re upholstered, show me what you got. I'm trying to stay original and have no problems getting seats reupholstered.  Thanks all.
