My 1970 is 42 years old and I am 53, +11.
My daughter's car is a 1975 and she is 23, -14.
-
I just registered my 1970 '02 this morning (thanks Scott).
BTW, the crew from Hemmings Sports and Exotics will be there so if you want your car in a magazine you better get registered!

Quick question.
I have a broken left motor mount on my 1975.
I can't see any other damage, other than the fan being off center, of course.
Generally, is it just a simple matter of putting a new motor mount in or is there usually other damage from the drivetrain being torqued to the side that will come to light later on?
Thanks!

Your '02 is going to love that oil so much, it'll think its gone to the Bimmer Spa!

There are approximately 100 cars registered for display on Saturday with a cocktail party Friday night, proceeds to the Children's Hospital at MUSC.
The car show on Saturday is FREE!
Weather looks favorable, see you there!

My latest clock aquisition, picked up today from a small online auction house. Time to rebuild the movement
Lovely clock. Is it walnut? How old? Where made?

Those wooden boats are achingly beautiful.

Being 16, and in the RTP, it's impossible to find a job. So I spend my time:
1) Composing trumpet music/piano music. I love taking old rock songs and re-writing the chords until they sound perfect. I've also come up with a few of my own.
2) repairing everything my family can manage to break. My sister's escape is coming home this summer for a trans swap, radio, speakers and probably more. I'll be acquiring a 221k volvo this summer if my brother buys a chevy cruze, I might swap a manual box into that. My dad breaks his Jeep weekly...it always comes home with a new noise to diagnose. Piece of crap.
3) writing. Laugh all you want, but I love to write poetry, I've always had a knack for it. Mostly stuff about nature.
4) Taking pictures! I love taking nature photos... I experiement with different cameras, exposures and what not and have taken many calendar worthy photos... including this one of Duke Gardens. I'm on the right.

Basically, I'm always busy. I hate not being busy. Das me!

BrentF wins coolest toy re: Chris Craft!

Grats! I'd love to see the TR6 or the 02 at the next Greenville Cars&Coffee!

@BrentF: The boat house is outstanding! Prettiest boat house I have ever seen. Extra points for the "period correct" attention to detail.
@Adawil2002: If you were asking me if I made my own raised panels, yes I do. I have a shaper, in one of the pics, with all the pull out drawers in front of it.
My other hobby, besides the woodworking, is old cars of course!
I am on the cover of Hemming's Sport's and Exotic Cars magazine April of this year (current issue), along with a very nice write up about my Dino.

House restoration and custom cabinetry. Spent the last 6, going on 7 years restoring our c.1780 home inside, out, up, down and sideways and adding a garage. Vernacular Maine layout, big house, little house, back house, barn, all attached. Took 5 years to paint the exterior (May-October).
Lovely work!
Here's a kitchen I built:

Big Grats to you son! My daughter, who is a little older, is total nuts over her 1975 02.

What a lovely car, GRATS!

My computer has crappy sound and I'm pretty deaf so I can't help you....but I love your steering wheel!

Thanks for all the advice.
I didn't get halon, they are $150, just regular A-B-C, better than nothing in the 2002s I figure.
I really like the velcro idea, I'm going to have to look into that.
I also like the idea of a big one in the trunk as well; in fact in my Dino, I have a Halon between the seats and a 5 pound A-B-C in the trunk. Italian cars are never more than one spark away from self-immolation.

Quick question see-vu-play.
Where's the best place to mount a hand held fire extinguisher in an 02?
Right now, I just keep it in a cardboard box on the back seat.
Thanks fellas!
