Cool, many thanks Guys, this helps out with my final decision. Actually buckeye's running the exact same rims, only I don't want the "gaps" in the well. will be lower.
is it safe to remove the front spacer ?
-
I thought the sports were smaller than the HD's.
Stu, how many inches are the IE stage 1 springs lowered ? Also, are yours uncut ?
-
So I bought some billie HD's, and some 13x5.5 rims, just wanted to know if anyone has some pics of :
Billie HD's with 13" wheels, stock height
Billie HD's lowered (show what you got as far as drop goes 1" , 1.5", 2" etc)
let me know what springs your running as well, and if they are cut.
my main inquiry is to see how low people are running with Billie HD's & 13rims, and how it looks stock with this particular combo.
thank you in advance everyone !

Gary,
I just did mine not too long ago, a few months ago actually. I have an older long diff, I don't know if its any different from the shorter diff cars but its pretty cut and dry. Take a look underneath, kinda assess it. Its a few nuts on the shaft, a few nuts on the carrier bearing and it'll slide right out. Took me about 30 ins total time from start to finish.

Anyone here watch Asian movies, NOT PORN.
I just watched IP man the final grandmaster (story about Bruce Lee trainer) and there is a silver roundie in the movie. Its a top view, so couldn't really make any details out.

HMM, im not in O.C. but would like to participate in any cruises or food functions, caravans...etc.

Anyone have a e30 front bumper, my sons bumper has a gaping hole in it. I'm in SoCal
-
the previous owner cut mine out for speakers.
chrome peeling OK, nothing show worthy just some nice black replacements with NO speaker cut outs. I live in SoCal. SGV to be exact. I can go pick em up if local.
thanks !

hhmm, sounds like im sold on billies then.
Where can I get some billies for cheap ? new / used ?
-
Morning !
it seems as thought billies are the way to go, but is there anyone running anything else other than billies ? Tokiko's, KYB's etc...
I am in the in process of possibly lowering my car, nothing drastic, just wanted to see what other then billsteins is out there ? Pics, thoughts, pros, cons....

Good to know about the Hazard switch. My turn signals are finicky, sometimes they don't work. Also, my headlight will not turn on until I mess with the signal and high beam stock.

Read your article, over and over. Love it. I wish I could translate into words how I feel about driving and cars the way you have successfully done.
Well done.

Got a hopefully quick question. I have a stock 68 1600, without the stock sway bars. Will the IE Kit bolt in to my car or will it take a lot of fabbing for them to work ? (the sway bars and end links)

Im just assuming. I need to take a gander tonight when I get home. If its Hydraulic I should have the fluid reservoir on top by the fuse box right ?
If its mechanical there should be no Hydraulic fluid reservoir right ?
Anyway better way to tell ?
-
ok, this noise makes sense now. The noise sounds like a ford powder steering unit (if you guys are familiar) or in general when the power steering is low on fluid.
it has pressure, clutch feels great, no slippage, also pedal is NOT collapsing. Maybe some fluid and adjusting ? hmm.
anyone now how to adjust ?
-
My early 68 1600 makes some crazy noises when I push the clutch in.
Sounds like its sucking air but in really jacked up kinda way. Does anyone know what clutch differences are in early BMW's ? Do they run off vacuum as well ? <-- I know this sounds really lame (vacuum part), but Im still a newb and learning as I go.
any input is always greatly appreciated.

Where are you located ? let me know, im interested in the IE stage II kit....

Nice story Adam, looking forward to the BMW month. I have a beater (aka classic) with rust (patina) and in need of work, but runs AND drives. Just barley. In case you need some video of the beginnings of my money pit.

Saw your car in the parking lot when we were about to leave. Damn, it sits waaay nice bra. Love it. I was waiting for you to come out but, the fuzz was all over the streets ticketing a lot of cars so I didn't want to stick around too long. Love it man, really sweet. Post some more pics...
Pics Request : Billie Hd'd & 13 Rims.

Im not too sure yet. IE are sounding great. I don't mind a stiff ride, but wouldn't mind a smooth vs stiff if I can have both the stance I want and the ride.
I also don't like the way our cars look higher in the front and lower in the rear. I plan to at least have a slight rake so the front sits and looks lower then the rear.
