MIrrors for sale.  Drivers side a little crusty and passenger side as far as I know never been mounted.  What you see is what you get.  Missing gasket for drivers side.  Not sure what else is needed.  The drivers mirror was on a car I parted years ago and the passenger side came along with the car.  Do not know what is fair so I will start at $75.oo or offer. Coop,  here is my 72 Baikal blue project.  Just thought I would share.                                        

Here is my front subframe and some other things ready to go into the car.  When I removed my rear sub it was the drab green and the front was black.  The front obviously been removed before I got it so it could have been repainted but I did not see the any evidence it was another color before I painted it

tii struts.  So here is my plan.  I drilled a hole through the bottom and I am gonna try to thread the lots of material.  Then I am gonna take all-thread run it up against the old insert then bp blast and heat and patiently ease it out with the all-thread over possibly a few days

The obstruction is the outer wall of the previous insert.  I have a new set of billies to go in and only go in about an inch or so and then stops.  So this is my problem i have this all the way down the tube.  It is rusty and nasty and does not want to give up.

The struts were very rusty and did not want to come apart.  Kind of came apart in pieces and I must have just gotten absent minded did not do a good enough inspection of the part before sending out for cleaning/painting.

So I took my struts to the media blaster and while they were there I had them painted too.  Last night I finally got started on piecing the front suspension back together and here is where I ran into a problem.  I did not notice but when I "took" the inserts out I apparently I left some insert in there.. Now my question is can a hole be drilled in the bottom of the strut without detriment to the strut itself?  I am thinking no but I always seem to look at the rosy side and do not see the bad until it is too late.

New year, holidays out of the way.  i have been taking the opportunity to collect some parts and get some arts prepped.  Struts and sub frame blasted and painted.  Ready, set assemble.

Scott, what a treat AGAIN! Not only did my wife keep talking about our day for days.  Now I get to show her she made the internet too!  Thank you again Scott, you made my day that chilly Saturday ( your generous offer to take us for a spin eclipsed Jason's biscuits and gravy in my family's eyes-hard to do) and gave me a boost with my car.

I bought a headliner a long time ago and left it folded up.  Now obviously I got a bunch of creases.  Any advice on getting these folds out?  It seems silly but I added pictures, you know "a picture is worth a thousand words" .  That means that is 2000 words I do not need to type.

Wow! Favorite tool?  Air compressor?  Drill press? Recip saw?  I have loved and I have hated all these tools, sometimes in the the same day.  But day in and day out I love my ipod and wireless speaker.  It keeps me calm and collected during my garage time

Is ther documentation to support the recent engine rebuild?

and your 73 is a sunroof?

Sorry to back up, but a couple of posts back you showed "trunk snorkels".  I thought that these snorkels did not go on sunroof only without roofs.  Or do I have that backwards?
