Put Stella up on Barney’s lift for a quick inspection before heading out for our Texas 02berfest weekend in Fredericksburg.  Terry Sayther has put together a fantastic drive through the Texas Hill Country.  Tire rotation while she was up on the lift.

We’re going to do it again November 4,5,6 2022—Friday, Saturday, and Sunday—at the Peach Tree Inn in Fredericksburg TX

We’ll be driving back roads to Fredericksburg, leaving the Vintage Bimmers/Terry Sayther Automotive shop in south Austin about 12.30 on Friday and arriving in Fred a couple hours later.
We’ll relax around the courtyard Friday afternoon, have some supper at your favorite local restaurants, and then relax around the courtyard some more.

Saturday morning departure will be from the Peach Tree Inn at 9am sharp.  We’ll head out for a big hill country drive over fantastic roads. We’ll return to the Peach Tree in the afternoon for more socializing and a pizza dinner together [if you choose] in the evening.

John, did you get figured out?

@zinz might can help you with those questions.

The bushing were indeed already breaking apart. Appreciate the other call outs. Alternator dropped at Texas Alternators waiting on cost/timeline.

Texas Alternator is reasonable and has a quick turnaround.   Have used them several times.

Hey Jake,  glad you made contact with Steve at Bluntech!  I have a spare used alternator if you need one to get you going.  It's a bit rough looking but Texas Alternator and Starter tested it and said it worked accordingly.

O2berfest weekend in Fredericksburg is right around the corner!  Terry Sayther will be heading out this weekend and plotting our drive route.  Shaping up to be another well attended 02berfest with 02rs from Austin, Houston and DFW planning on partaking!

Swing by the monthly Austin Air Cool V-Dub meet up in Stella and then took her for a spin down to the lake.  Short photo op stop. 
 

Dropped off two alternators yesterday at Texas Alternator and Starter Service here in Austin.  I currently have a higher amp output alternator installed but wanted to have a good spare (or two) on the shelf.  I'll be swinging by again to drop off a radiator to be re-cored.  Might as well have a good one on the shelf as well.  ?

Lunch today with one of my best friends and took a pic in front of Stella.  We took pretty much the same picture  36 years ago (1986)  in front of Stella.  Have to say all three of us have aged rather well. ?

Fantastic turnout for our April Austin area BMW 2002 and Vintage BMW C&C this morning.  I combined our vintage BMW with BMWCCA Tejas Chapter again this month and had a really good turnout.  Was a good mix of old and new.
