If you're near the South Bay, the previous owner of my car took it to Accent BMW in Lawndale ( I live in Redondo). My car runs great (and goes way over 45mph), it has the original carb, but I'm sure he could handle your weber. Here's their phone number (310) 371-3959, ask for Glenn. I just picked up my 74 this weekend and haven't met any other owners yet either, maybe we could all have a rookie meet up.

Yes, most people want automatics because they are easier to convert to 5 speeds because the tunnel is bigger. For someone that wants to do a conversion, this is probably the perfect score because it's got a running engine and it is certainly in presentable condition (except for the nose). I talked to him on the phone, his computer crashed so that's why he doesn't have any pics up yet. I tried to send you an IM, but i think you have it disabled, send me a message if you want, maybe we can help each other find what the other's looking for, we're probably the only ones in Socal that want to find an automatic intact.

I just went to go see this one below, not mine, no affiliation with the seller. I'm looking for an Auto in socal as well. The body looks pretty good, but the nose is a little damaged right above the grille below the line of the hood. the seller described it as damage to the grille, but it's the metal. I don't think he was being intentionally misleading, it was just semantics. It's got blue interior and a wooden steering wheel, No AC, no sunroof. Obviously it needs a tranny, but if you don't mind paying to have it fixed or you have a spare tranny and you can stomach the nose damage, it could be a decent daily driver for cheap. The way it was parked, i couldn't see the rear very well. Probably a good deal for the right person.

Has anyone been to see this car? the interior is a little "wonky" but seems priced to sell for a tii. Not mine, no affiliation.
