  2. I have a pair of axles from a 78 320i and read that they might be worth something to 2002 guys, is this true?
  3. Which E21 alternators are a direct swap for late model 2002s? Late model E21s are completely different from early ones (different alt, different bracket)
  4. I have a friend who wants to sell or part out two cars, a 67 1600 and a 74 2002. I'm going over there this week to take a look and try to get some good pictures, but I just wanted to see whether he'd be better off parting them out or selling them whole? (I'm an E21 guy so not very familiar with 2002s) both have 2.0L motors, and i think he said the 1600 has a rod bearing starting to go. they've both been sitting for 10+ years (garaged)
  5. an old thread but i just did this yesterday and wanted to add my .02 the sr441x starter will bolt up to the M10 block. it is lighter than the sr440x and more powerful. HOWEVER, it turns over my stock M10 motor (~8:1 compression) much slower than a stock M10 starter, which means several more cranks before it fires up. for that reason, i recommend getting a stock starter.
  6. I bought this a couple months ago, it's never been installed. I won't be needing it for at least a year so I figure I'll just buy another one then. I spent about an hour with a dremel cleaning up the finish, it's cast aluminum and it was pretty rough when i got it. It could still use some more elbow grease. I'll post up actual pics of mine tonight, here's one from the company I bought it from: $350 http://www.thehoffmangroup.com/vintage/product.lasso?prodinc=differentialcover
  7. I have a limited slip diff out of a 79 320i. The gear ratio is 3.64, not the standard 3.91. this ratio is very rare!!! perfect for a turbo/high HP build. $450
  8. My brother recently bought a 78 320i. It has a 3.64 LSD in it, but he's swapping it for a 3.91. I know the 3.64's are a lot more rare than the 3.91s, but is there a demand for this thing? I would think high HP '02 guys would be all over it. What should he sell this thing for?
  9. email me at bflan2001 at gmail..shipping is either 3 bucks for pacific/mountain, or 5 bucks for central/east coast. i prefer paypal but will accept other payments
  10. I found this in the trunk of a 2002, not sure what it fits and it's missing the internal spring. $10 there is also a small crack on the upper right edge of the button that can be seen in the picture below
  11. good condition, works great. $SOLD shipping in the US will be $5 or less depending on where you live
  12. thanks, andrew! i will have some pictures this weekend, i'll post them up here. there are quite a few people in line but i do have a list. the diff has been in my car for about 2k miles and it's in great shape.
  13. 3.91 limited slip differential for sale out of a 320is, excellent condition. Price is $350 including shipping.
  14. Thanks for the replies guys! Steve, I searched their forums and actually posted a thread there also. I found one guy in Serbia with an E30 316 who says he just connected the MJ tach out directly to the tach in at the cluster. I will be trying this tomorrow. According to the installation instructions this won't work, but it's worth a shot if it worked for this guys E30. As far as maps go, all the M10 maps I could find were for heavily modified engines, my engine is relatively stock. John, Yes, the Megajolt system uses the stock EDIS components. My email address is my FAQ username at gmail. A diagram would be a big help!
  15. yup i've still got it..i replied to your email also
  16. please don't, there are plenty of other options out there and euro E21 bumpers are already very hard to find. it's bad enough the '02 vultures snag all the LSDs, seats, wheels, etc. leave us our bumpers, i beg of you! -E21 driver
  17. I've had megajolt up and running for several months now, and I need to get my tach working. I tried to figure it out on the MJ website but there's a lot of 'this might work, but it might not' information there. i'd rather not waste hours of time rewiring things to end up where i started. i figure someone, somewhere, has to have done this on an M10 before. I'm also still running the default ignition map. Does anyone have a tuned M10 ignition map? side note: even with the default (universal 4-cylinder) map, the engine runs smoother and stronger than it ever has, i'm extremely happy with megajolt
