    IO spoke with a BMW mechanic yesterday and he told me that the 2000 cc engine has head gasket problems, they blow them, when I asked him if there was a way to prevent this he didn't know of a way. does anyone know anything about this. Is that a problem with the s14 motor or had they solved that problem by then? chester

    I recently posted a question about an 02 and one of the members mentioned that 02's with sunroofs were bad ideas because of increased problems with rust. Does anyone have any experience with this? thanks Chester

    Thank you guys so much. I am an ex toyota mechanic and I have owned a porsche 914-6 and an early 70's Land Cruiser fj40. Needless to say I know what it is like to have an old car that has its "quirks". I think I am going to go for it, I am looking for a Bright Red carb 2002 72' and below, with a sunroof, if you guys hear of anything let me know. I have a car right now, I am in no hurry so I am going to find the right one. Thanks again for the advice. Do any of you live in socal? is there a site where they have up and coming 2002 events? thanks again, Chester
