  1. Hi All,

Just wondering if anybody knows the values of the wire resistors inside of the heater box? Also, does the high speed put a full 12 volts (13.3volts) to the motor? I believe mine might be bad, so I need to know the values to test them or so I could switch over to a ceramic type resistor. Thanks, Brendan

  2. Hi all,

I'm thinking about doing a Chevy throttle body injection on my 76 02, and was wondering if anybody ever did this? I think it'd be a great conversion as the 87-93 TBs off a 2.8 S10 (or similar vehicle) are dual 34s compared to the Weber 32/36. It's also a self-contained unit, as the fuel pressure regulator, IAC, and TPS are part of the throttle body; the TB also accepts any 4-barrel air cleaner. And one of the best things, all the parts can be found in most scrap yards for CHEEP; I paid $20 for the TB off of Flea Bay and $30 for the wiring harness at a scrap yard, the computer is around $30 as well. Finally, this is a good way to pass emissions for those of us unfortunate enough to live in smog check State; boy what I had to do to get mine through!

I’m a little ahead as I have an intake that takes a Holly 2 barrel (Does anybody know who made this intake?), which gave me room to re-drill for the TB. Unfortunately I’m not sure how much room is on the Solex/Weber intake, I don’t have an extra one to re-drill.

If I get enough interest in this, I’ll try to do a complete breakdown with photos and detailed info as to what I did and what troubles I run into. I won’t have this done “tomorrow” as I need to fix quite a lot of other stuff, but when I have extra time and money (the harder of the two to come by) I’ll post. So what do you think? Regards, Brendan

  3. I'm doing the diff swap right now, and I'd like to go the CV Joint way as I don't like having 12 holes in my output flanges. Has anyone found the splines on the CV shafts to be different sizes? There is about an .010 inch difference in diameter between my '02 and 320 shafts, and I can't get the '02 CVs on the 320 shaft. I also think that if I use the '02 shaft, the 320 CV may spin on the splines because it's larger. I was going to swap the internal parts on the CVs, but the thicknes of the parts are different as well. Did anyone else have this issue, and if so what did you do to fix it? Also, do I need to use the spacers if I get the CVs to work? Thanks and regards, stuck in the garage

  4. Hi all, Sorry to post so late. I'm doing the diff swap right now, and I'd like to go the CV Joint way as I don't like having 12 holes in my output flanges. My question is, has anyone found the splines on the CV shafts to be different sizes? There is about an .008 inch difference in diameter between my '02 and 320 shafts, and I can't get the CVs on. I was going to swap the internal parts on the CVs, but the thickness is different as well. I was going to heat the CV, and freeze the shaft to make it work. Did anyone else have this issue, and if so what did you do to fix it? Also, do I need to use the spacers if I get the CVs to work? Thanks and regards, '02 stuck in the garage
