BTW. Your wide body, paint color and performance oriented suspension is awesome. One of my favorite modded 02.
Thanks Vince, much appreciated! It should be fun on the track...it's a blast in the local canyons.

Understood. No matter, you'll get loads of press on your fantastic car. Can't wait to see/hear it!
-
PM'd you re: shortened 4 bolt drive shaft.
-
Mark, truly amazing! Will you be racing it on Laguna Seca at the Historics?
-
BTW, that red Touring is awesomeness!!

Shortened, cambered Tii struts, 25mm steering arm lowering blocks, Rabbit Bilstein inserts, adj camber plates, 13x7.5 Panasport C8 et-29, 215/50R13 Sumitomos, 1/2" spacer and rear Proshock coil overs (double shear lower mount), adj camber & toe kits, 13x8 Panasport C8 et-40 215/50R13 Sumitomos, 1/4" spacer (could probably use another 1/2" spacer back there). Not exactly "stanced", but set up nicely for the canyons and the Streets of Willow...

Keep kickin' ass, Esty!! No looking back!

...einz, zwei, drei 02!!
Good talkin' to you, Gavin, Norm & neue klasse-Dave!

We should show our 2002s! Who's in? I think it starts at 0700. Shouldn't rain until Saturday evening...
Robert, Norm? You in?

It was my 4th year going to the John & Jeff show, but the 1st time taking my car there. It was great meeting Steve (thx for the beer!), Chris that was parked next to me, Dave (awesome NK owner), & of course, Lisa (sans Tesoro). I hope to attend subsequent shows, I think J&J put on a great show every year.

Good to talk to you at the show, Dave. I hope your paint restoration goes well! Your NK was a real treat to see, a true time capsule!

Very nice, I was admiring your 02 at the show! I owned and modified an air cooled 77 930, so fun & fast, but I'm lovin' my 02 just as much!

Abe, I PM'd you.

No worries, that sounds like a cool project! Please keep us updated.

What's the diameter of the shaft that the upper hat will be installed on? I have a few upper hats (2.5" ID) from a Porsche bilstein coil over setup that I didn't use.

I have a few pics of how I did it in my blog...

Harv on the FAQ (John) had really good pics posted once, but I can't find them now. I used 18gauge sheet metal for the inner fender well extensions & MIG'd them tying in the inner well to the outer quarter panel for structural integrity.

I'm going, and I'll finally be able to drive my 02 there! Yay!

Sure, it's a bummer, but stuff happens. The important thing is that you're progressing through every detail on one of the most amazing builds and that's what counts...you're doing it right!
