    Passport Auto Transport (866 582 3185) has offered a discount to anyone wishing to ship their 02 to the event. The discount goes up with the number of cars carried - get a group together and join us. Airline service to NW Arkansas (Rogers/Bentonville) and Branson, MO. Little Rock and Tulsa are a bit farther, but you might consider shipping your car to Skip's, fly into Little Rock, and drive up with the group that caravans from the south.     The 13th Annual MidAm - April 26 & 27 - Eureka Springs, Arkansas. Still plenty of time and room to join in the festivities. How much better can it get? Drive your 02 to a interesting destination and spend the weekend with a bunch of hardcore 2002 people. The website now has registration and preorder for shirts/caps, and Saturday picnic tickets.     Ermilio's desn't take reservations and it is small - they couldn't handle our complete group, but perhaps small groups could give it a try Thursday evening. Friday's dinner is the drive destination, The Ozark Cafe in Jasper. The drive from Eureka Springs covers some great roads and pretty countryside. The snortin' induction noise from the socks (above engine pics -2011) is fun, but gets old pretty quick. Now has the airbox installed. Ben T worked tuning magic (by ear and nose) in the parking lot at last year's Vintage. MidAm, April 26 & 27. www.midamerica02fest.com

    The Ture Friends of Alex von Falkenhausen present a full two days of everything 02. We have tech demonstrations, Q & A session, racing program - Terry Sayther, car show, driving, good food, local attractions, and the biggest door prize raffel around. We are on the Event Page. Saturday drive through the Ozark backroads. We will cover 200-300 miles.     Many great stories from this year's MidAm. Because of business commitments on the west coast late in the week John G drove from Montgomery, AL to Little rock, flew out and flew back Friday then drove to Eureka Springs. Ray K had much the same situation. While on business in New Jersey Ray had his 02 shipped to Conway, flew into Little Rock Friday and drove up. Mike W broke a Kfish belt while driving from central Flordia. He had the belt shipped in and drove until 3:30 am Saturday to be there for the drive. My favorite story belongs Nathan H of Muscle Shoals, AL. Nathan loaded a newly aquired nonrunning 02 on a trailer and hauled it to the event in hopes of finding help and parts to get it running. He worked all Friday until late and Saturday. Just before dinner he had it running. Thanks to the many who helped Nathan get his 02 going strong.

    Barb & I would like to thank everyone who helped with the weekend. A huge "Thanks" to all who attended. We had 51 2002s from 16 states. This is a hard core group, 29 of the 02s were on the road for more than 800 miles (round trip). A great bunch of True Friends of Alex von Falkenhausen.
