I hope I made it clear that blow-by is occuring, and I don't know if the problem is in the head or rings but I would suggest a tear down to figure out what it is.

I'm not too worried about the blow-by issue. I have all the rings & gaskets for a rebuild, so I'd do a tear down on this one, then drop it in.

I figure this is the quickest solution, since my '02 is my only car. I thought I was losing the head gasket, but it also looks like a head stud is stripped/pulling, along with a few other minor bugs you'd expect from a 35 yr old motor. Doing a motor swap is going to be much easier, given my situation.

Forgot to ask... is the motor a spare/out of the car, or will it need to be pulled?

I am interested in the header and one of the rear sway bars. Can you tell what the make and size of the rear sway is? What brand is the header? Shipping to Seattle.
