Do I need new plug wires when..

this will surely tell you if your wires are bad or not. also check to make sure the wies are securely attached to the plug. HTH

My car get hot idleing in traffic, or at auto X, and starts to get a miss on the cylinder closest to the front of the car. All the other cyls fire just fine. My '76 has Pertronix, so it can't be points, and the miss goes away when the water temp goes down. Whut up??
