total seal rings question.........

I just noticed the posts below about Total Seal rings sometimes having a seating problem. I'm wondering if they recommend carefully "overheating" the motor to seat the rings. Years ago when I built couple "Perfect Circle" chrome ringed motors, I would do this to make sure the rings seated. Just wondered if this is considered conventional wisdom on 02's with the Total Seal.
