M20 Swap Question

Im finished my m20 swap but im having trouble getting my temp gauge to work. What did you have to do in-order to make use the stock temp. gauge.

Use the stock coolant temperature probe in the thermostat housing, there are two of them really, I can't remember which one I used... and so I'll have to figure that one out (though I'm almost sure it is the upper one) as I will be going megasquirt on this next one.

The wire color in the stock 2002 harness is brown and white and the stock 325i harness is brown with a violet stripe. You can splice into the large firewall plug for this and you "should" have good results.

The temp reads normally with the stock e30 probe.

Make it different... or just do it differently
