The little tab gave way, and it's too close to the gas tank to weld. The U bolt was put in to support the exhaust. My '76 broke the same way.

Hey guys,

just putzing around with my 72tii today and was looking up into the back of the car where the exhaust comes out.. and noticed that these nuts and bolts go through up inside next to where the gas tank is located.

Is this normal? It looks kinda funky... my 76 is not this way but of course my 76 is different than my 72.

I just wanted to see if any other 72tii owners could confirm.
