Yeah but the really bad floor is under the small hole that wasn' even a hole till I started poking at it, and the floor that is surface only was under the big hole. Go figure.

The only to win over rust is to rebuild the car from ground up.

You should take some measures towards rust proofing it. Drill some holes,add some snti-rust proofing and rust sealers, and this should make it rust twice as slow.
