On some other forums i frequent, they have this as an option. It basically means that any organisation can be done in one thread and then after the day, all the pictures can be easily accessable on page 1 of a new thread and not multiple pages back. Of course discussion after the event would take place in the "Past Event" thread too

Just something to think about.
