Maybe check out www.eurocca.net/forums and see if "Windy" knows or www.bimmerforums.com has an e21 section. Thats all i know of though. Hope it helps :-)

No the E30 differential won't fit an E21 given that the E21 differential is the same as a 2002 differential except for the case. The E30 differential is secured from the top whereas the E21/2002 differentials are secured from the bottom.

Of course you could always cut down an E30 rear subframe to allow the installation of the differential depending upon how good your fabrication/welding skills are or how much money you have.

Whoops, the E21 and 2002 differentials are the same with the exception of the rear cover.
