Yes, we use the phpBB2-board for a couple of years now and I can tell you: We and our members are very happy with it!

For those who want to know:... We have a few rules on our board, one of the most important is that it's not allowed to have pics in the signatures and the avatars have to be BMW (02) related. That works out: no problems for dialup users to wait for a oneliner as an answer followed by a huge picture not related to the topic...

re: the signatures etc. I was going to bug Mike about that after things settle down some (he's only got about a million things to do at the moment). It shouldn't be too hard to add a 'hide signatures' option in user prefs -- that would go well for us dialupers
