Happened to see this page on the magazine section of the corporate site that provides some historical context for the original Neue Klasse as BMW re-uses the phrase for their EV transition. Noted too the design attribution of the earlier phase to Hoffmeister & Michelotti as being principally responsible and assuming that the authors have direct access to the corporate historical record.
