Stalling

Just hoping that somebody may be able to help me out with a stalling

problem.

Car starts up just fine and idles ok. After a minute or so everything

nearly shuts down but if you get on the gas pedal things are ok again

for another minute or so and then everything repeats. When all this is

happening I can see that the inline fuel filter (immediately before the

fuel pump) is not full, actually it is nearly dry.

What I've got and what I've done.

'72 02, weber 36 (just rebuilt), brand new fuel pump, pertronix

ignition, brand new cap, rotor, plugs and wires. I've looked in the

screw off filter on the carb body and looked inside the fuel tank, as

best as I can tell neither of these seem to have anything blocking/in

them.

Vacuum leak? What's a good way of checking?

I believe that it's the electric choke. It has a single

lead wire connecting to the cover. In any case it is

not connected and I'm still having stalling

problems regardless of engine temp.
