Very nice car.  I have a similar, albeit not as nice, version.  Can you comment on how much better the car ran after the desmog?  Just curious, I've been thinking about doing that but wasn't sure if it would make a noticeable difference.

It completely transformed the car.  It ran better, idled smoother, accelerated quicker and turned a pretty bland experience into a lot more fun.  Removing the thermal reactor and replacing it with a shorty header could have added some horse power and pulling off the smog pump freed up the engine and shed some weight.  I would highly recommend it.

 

Check out the test drive video, before pulling out the smog equipment, it was a slug.

Thanks for the info, it's definitely on my list. I just got mine a few months ago and other than the Weber carb, the motor is 100% stock. Once it warms up here I hope to desmog and do the bumper tuck.
