stock exhaust & a weber 38/38...I have an 002 dizzy with a new pertonix, but I am thinking a new distributor may make some difference.............Would you...

.

Buy a new 002 dizzy or 008 or ???

Buy a new Mallory...or...

maybe send my 002 off to good dizzy rebuild person for a custom job

(any recommendations on a good rebuilder?)

any thoughts & ramblings are welcome

I'd go with the original Vac Advance dizzy. It has a better advance curve for stock compression and a carb. If you had higher compression and a Cam I'd go for a new 002 dizzy...

8MM wires could be added for an imperceptible bump, but i would not spend the money on recurving the dizzy- not for stock engine. feel great about the even numbers and enjoy the properly working ignition system. pictures: weber 40/40, petronix in mech adv dizzy, MSD6A, TEP wires( replaced by Max Loom).
