For those interested, the early style seals for cars with alligator teeth (vinyl clips) ARE still available! To solve my dilemma of whether or not to remove the clips off Hugo's A-Pillars, I've decided to leave them on and go with the early seal. For what it's worth, our friend Paul Wegweiser recommends the early seal "regardless" of whether or not the windshield opening has the clips.

Part No. is 51 31 7 440 104 (about $70)
