3 bolt or 4 bolt flange? I have a driveshaft (balanced already) for the exact transmission you have, it has a 4 bolt flange pattern and I do not need it at all. They go for around 250ish which is what I paid for mine. I'd send it to you for 250 shipped. It's in great shape. I believe it was sent down to SoCal to have all the work done on it. I just bought it and the transmission I purchased (installed and I LOVE my 5 speed!!!!) was a 3 bolt flange so I found another one.

Not to interfere with business---but the only e21 trans with a 4 bolt output was from a 1980--all others were 3 bolt hookups  to my knowledge---1982 is 3 bolt --maybe i'm misreading the response?

Yeah you are correct. The one I am sending is the 4 bolt, which he's aware of. The transmissions came with both which is why I ended up with one of each. The first 5 speed tranny I bought had a 4 bolt flange, so I bought a 4 bolt driveshaft. The 2nd tranny I bought had a 3 bolt.
