I had to tighten loose bolts a few times before, that

should have given me a clue to use locktite, but no,

that's just too easy. I am about 100ft from home

and thump!, a 50 ft roll and that's it: HONEY! help

me push Bacchus in the driveway, goes on gear

but doesn't go anywhere! "It is time for you to get a

decent car" - that one hurts! I'm sure is

nothing...crawl under and the left axle is

completely off the diff, what ta hell! "I"ll fix it

tommorow is just a few bolts, honey".

Check your half shafts guys and girls!

I wasn't so lucky as to be near home...!

Guess I know what I am doing this weekend - buying locktite...

Glad that it didn't happen at speed...

I heard a strange sound from the rear, took a look and found two bolts hanging on for dear life. A round of Loctite for everyone!

understood to be absolutely necessary for those bolts: i used 1/2 bottle, well a little less, of RED tite when i did both my half shafts this year. BUT, i better recheck for tightness. Man- to have so many expreience the same thing is scary. I am sending you a bottle of locktite for your xmas stocking Michael- Baccus wont forget that , you know.

at work--after a ten mile drive via Interstate! When I went to back out, the car wouldn't go anywhere...all six bolts had sheared off after working loose!

Amen, brothers and sisters to "check your halfshaft bolts" ...
