Best location for 02 sensor...

I've got a supersprint header on my 74. I've got a sensor and a SS bung ready, just not sure what the optimal location for it will be in the exhuast tract. Any ideas?

I've got a couple of different gauges I'm going to try out and will report my findings

If it's a heated one, you don;t have to worry about it being close to the engine, so you can move it down the line a bit. On theother hand if it's not heated place it right past the collector onthe header.

use heated, and put it as close to the exhaust valves as possible, while still sampling all the cylinders. this will give the best results

and had to move it up to the manifold flange to get accurate readings around town.

At speed, the collector worked, but as soon as I slowed down, so did the o2 sensor...
