Holy crap check out all that fab work. Not to mention the monsterous oil cooler.

Wondering if it's running s14 internals or is that a m10 front cover grafted to an s14.

If it's tuned right should haul ass. All the e30 m3 guys rave about alpha-n efi. Wonder why they got rid of the whole plenum...gotta hurt low end torque.

there is another s14 kugelfischer motor out there. Maybe Picon from Portugal will remember the picture. I am pretty sure it was he who showed it to me some time ago. In a 320 I think.

Hell of a setup and much easier to get parts for than a schnitz twin cam ;->

I wonder if they had to change the fuel cam in teh Kuglefischer to up the quantity?

i love to see how inventive owners get with a standard space( in most cases) and different power plant "insertions". I dont know if i understand the reason for the Kugel plus the S14. Is this sort of a "super duper" A4 set up? I need to study the pics some more and read some text too . But the S14 has a brain- so there has to be a whole lot of coordination if they married Kugel delivery to throttle bodies. Thanks a lot for the images and the info. Another very cool 02 varient.

to flow more fuel. There are about 6 in the US. All you need is a dyno sheet, a flow bench a little knowlegde and some love.

There are other things you can do too like fitting an enrichment device, turbo pump head with larger pistons or re-curving the cam. There are about 3 parameters in the pump which can be altered which ultimately affect fuel deliver ex. Longer stroke (altering the cam, or playing with enrichment lever) = more fuel, also larger pistons (bigger diameter) = more fuel per stroke.

BMW Neue Klasse - a birth of a Sports Sedan

Unveiling of the Neue Klasse Unveiled in 1961, BMW 1500 sedan was a revolutionary concept at the outset of the '60s. No tail fins or chrome fountains. Instead, what you got was understated and elegant, in a modern sense, exciting to drive as nearly any sports car, and yet still comfortable for four.   The elegant little sedan was an instant sensation. In the 1500, BMW not only found the long-term solution to its dire business straits but, more importantly, created an entirely new

History of the BMW 2002 and the 02 Series

In 1966, BMW was practically unknown in the US unless you were a touring motorcycle enthusiast or had seen an Isetta given away on a quiz show.  BMW’s sales in the US that year were just 1253 cars.  Then BMW 1600-2 came to America’s shores, tripling US sales to 4564 the following year, boosted by favorable articles in the Buff Books. Car and Driver called it “the best $2500 sedan anywhere.”  Road & Track’s road test was equally enthusiastic.  Then, BMW took a cue from American manufacturers,

    The BMW 2002 Production Run

BMW 02 series are like the original Volkswagen Beetles in one way (besides both being German classic cars)—throughout their long production, they all essentially look alike—at least to the uninitiated:  small, boxy, rear-wheel drive, two-door sedan.  Aficionados know better.   Not only were there three other body styles—none, unfortunately, exported to the US—but there were some significant visual and mechanical changes over their eleven-year production run.   I’ve extracted t
